Letter: Hometown Hospitality In Nashville

Hometown Hospitality In Nashville

Dear Editor:

My husband and I came through your town a week ago on our way to Woodstock, Georgia, to see our daughter and family. We had driven 600 miles that day are were exhausted.

We stopped at McDonalds for a quick bite to eat and one of the workers told my husband about the State campground about 10 miles out of town. We were thrilled, we could make it that far! But when we drove in behind another camper just arriving, we found out that they got the last campsite.

We eventually caught up with the manager and he let up stay in he parking lot, didn’t charge us and told us to “pay it forward.”

I have tears in my eyes now just thinking about how grateful we were. We would have been a danger to ourselves and others back on the road. He was asleep when we left in the morning so this is our way of thanking him for his kindness and we will “pay if forward.”
