August 31

The Nashville Police Department responded to the 500 block of S. Mill Street for a 911 hang up call.

Officers conducted a welfare check in the 500 block of W. Chester Street.

Police responded to the 700 block of W. St. Louis St. for a domestic dispute

Officers arrested Lawrence Jouglard, of Fairview Heights, on a Randolph County felony warrant.

Police responded to the lobby of the Sheriff’s department to take a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian incident that occurred at Circle K. Brandon Marcum, 22 of Nashville, advised that while he was walking across the parking lot a car was backing up and bumped into him. Brandon advised he was not hurt but wanted the incident reported.

September 1

Officers responded to Little Nashville for a 911 hang up call.

Police responded to an alarm on the 500 block of West Maple Street.

Officers received a report of a reckless driver/possible DUI traveling southbound on St Rt 127 entering Nashville. Police located and stopped the vehicle and driver, Benjamin Bequette, 38, of Centralia. Benjamin was subsequently arrested for felony driving under the influence and reckless driving. Benjamin also received citations for no valid driver’s license, improper passing, improper lane usage, failure to signal, and operating uninsured vehicle. Benjamin was placed on a felony hold at the Washington County Jail.

September 2

Police responded to the 200 block of E. Walnut for a civil dispute.

Officers towed an abandoned vehicle that was a traffic hazard on W. St. Louis St near S Broadway St.

September 3

Police conducted a welfare check in the 300 block of W. Lebanon Street.

Officers conducted a welfare check in the 200 block of E. Alton St.

Police responded to a minor traffic crash in Casey’s parking lot. A vehicle driven by Dennis Ford, of Missouri, backed into a parked vehicle previously driven by Thomas Jessup, of Centralia.

Officers responded to Mockingbird Rd. for a two vehicle crash. A semi-truck driven by Alexander Fanelli, of St. Charles, IL, was turning north onto a private drive when a semi-trailer struck a vehicle driven by Phillip Tally, of Centralia.

Police handled a two vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Washington County Hospital, 705 S. Grand Ave. A vehicle driven by Amy Ralls, of New Minden, backed out of a parking spot and struck a vehicle driven by Aimee Thorton, of New Baden.

Officers handled a two vehicle accident on E. St. Louis St. just west of the intersection with N. Mill St. A vehicle driven by Dennis Banks, of Nashville, backed into a vehicle owned by Andrea Briles, of Nashville. A report was taken on the accident.
